Joseph VL Ruatpuia

Joseph is from Thenzawl, Mizoram. He earned his M. Sc Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), India. He joined NIT Silchar in 2021. His research interests primarily lie in heterogeneous catalysis synthesis using biomass-derived materials, as well as the hierarchical structuring of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and porous materials for applications in biodiesel

production.

Joseph VL Ruatpuia

Kankana is from Nalbari, Assam. She completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Cotton University in 2018 and 2020

respectively. She qualified GATE (2021) and joined Ph.D. in NIT Silchar in 2021. Her thesis title is “Development of advanced functional material as a catalyst for production of biodiesel and fuel additive”.

Shikhasmita Das

Shikha is from Guwahati, Assam. She has completed her BSc from Gauhati University in 2018 and MSc from North Eastern Hill University, Shillong in 2020. She joined PhD in the Department of Chemistry, NITS in 2022 after qualifying GATE (2022). Thesis title: ‘Development of advanced functional material as a catalyst for biodiesel and related biofuel production’.

Monjuly is from Diphu Karbi Anglong Assam. She did her B.Sc. from Assam University (2021) and M.Sc. Central University of Punjab Bathinda (2023).She qualified GATE (2023). She joined NIT Silchar (2024) as a JRF in CSIR funded research project. titled "  

Defect-engineered Acid-Functionalized Monolithic Metal-Organic Frameworks as a Heterogeneous Catalyst for Biodiesel Production".

 Biman kaushik is from Mangaldai, Assam. He received his B.Sc degree from Gauhati University in 2020. He completed his M.Sc in 2022 from Central University of jharkhand. He qualified Gate-2023 . He joined Ph.d in Chemistry in july 2024. He is currently pursuing Ph.D in Chemistry in NIT Silchar.

 Ruth is from Aizawl, Mizoram. She completed her B.Sc. in Chemistry from DM College of Science, Imphal, in 2019 and her M.Sc. in Chemistry from Mizoram University in 2025. She qualified the CSIR–NET JRF examination in 2025, securing an All India Rank of 149.  She joined Phd in Department of Chemistry, NIT Silchar in 2026

 Venpuii is from Aizawl, Mizoram. She has completed her M.Sc from Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College in 2023 and M. Sc from Mizoram University in 2025. She joined Ph.D in Department of Chemistry, NIT Silchar in 2026.

Sneha Yadav

Dr Sneha Yadav is from Assam, India. She is a researcher in advanced functional materials, with research interests in material synthesis, heterogeneous catalysis, and renewable energy applications. Dr Yadav received her PhD from JSS AHER, Karnataka, India. She was a visiting research fellow at the School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemi

Dr Sneha Yadav is from Assam, India. She is a researcher in advanced functional materials, with research interests in material synthesis, heterogeneous catalysis, and renewable energy applications. Dr Yadav received her PhD from JSS AHER, Karnataka, India. She was a visiting research fellow at the School of Aeronautical, Automotive, Chemical, and Materials Engineering, Loughborough University, England, UK, where her research focused on designing hybrid membranes for catalytic applications. 

Currently, Dr Yadav is working on designing novel MOF-based catalysts for renewable energy applications.
